Quarter 2: Star-Crossed Romances

In this unit, students will read William Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet. Students may prefer to use the book, No Fear: Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet. It is a dual text which includes the original Shakespearean text on the left pages and the modern, plain English text on the right pages. However, students will be assessed using excerpts from the original text which is included in the online textbook that we'll use in class. The Tennessee Shakespeare Company will perform interactive and dynamic sessions to engage and prepare students for reading the play.
