About Me

I have been a science teacher for over 20 years. I hold a Master's Degree in Educational Technology and earned 45+ hours (ABD toward a doctorate) in Instructional Technology. In addition, I am an official Apple Teacher and hold a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. Before becoming an educator, I majored in Biology. For a short while, I interned at the Los Alamos, New Mexico Genetics Lab, where I helped with the Human Genome Project in the 1990s. I also worked as a chemist and microbiologist at a nutrition lab in downtown Memphis.

I proudly assist with the Chess Club where needed and I am honored to work with our Fellowship of Christian Students club. As a member of Christian Educators, I also volunteer as a campus Christian Ambassador.

I am blessed to have been married for 27 years to my college sweetheart. We have two handsome young sons.

In addition to teaching, I own three businesses. One is a lawn care business with my husband, and the other two are solely run by me. I have a sewing business and I am an independent consultant for a company. I am a very busy lady!!

Below you will find images of some of my hobbies and likes. 😉 I am not athletic because I am SUPER clumsy (LOL 😂). I do like watching some sports though! I also like photography, nature, gladiolas, and hyacinths. Lastly, I am a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. 💙💛
