Welcome to 9th grade!

Welcome to your first year of high school! I know that this can be a scary time, filled with many changes. However, I am here to help you transition into high school, in order to be successful for the next four years! 

We will be exploring literature and short stories, as well as some non-fiction added materials.

A note about attendance: If you miss school and need to turn in a note you can either email Mrs. James ([email protected]) or submit a form through the home page of The Academy website. These are the best ways to make sure that your note is received and your absence is excused. If you bring a physical note, you will need to drop it off in the Attendance office. 

 

For exam exemptions: You must have an 87 in class, and 5 or less excused absences.
