4 H Farm Club (Period club) Assignments

The 4H Club will meet Thursday, 3/05/2020, in room 107 from 2:15 to 3:15.  This week's project is to plant seeds in starter trays and place them in the cold frame.  By the end of April, students should have garden plants to take home. If time and weather permit, we will also check on the bulb gardens we planted last fall. 

The Bartlett Ninth Grade Academy annual 8^th grade Preview Night will be on

Thursday, February 20^th from 5-7pm.

 

Instead of our regular bi-monthly meeting, the 4H club will participate in 8^th grade preview night on Thursday, 2/20/20, from 5-7 pm in the cafeteria.  Club members are welcome to attend.  I need a couple of volunteers to watch the table and monitor the ipads.  Even if  a student has not attended a meeting before, they can still volunteer for preview night.  

I will have a 4H demonstration table set up at the Bartlett Education Foundation Grant Showcase event.  It will be held at the BCS Administration Building located at 5705 Stage Road, Bartlett from 6 to 8 pm. 

The 4H club will meet Thursday, 1/16/20, in room 107 from 2:15 to 3:15.  If weather permits, we will be outside planting daffodil bulbs at the front of the school. If it's raining, we will stay inside and work on a recycling project. 

The 4H club will meet Thursday from 2:15 to 3:15 in room 107.  It is time to plant fall flower bulbs but the forecast calls for rain.  In that case, we will have an indoor activity involving recycling of plastic shopping bags.   If you have any clean bags that you need to get rid of, please bring them.

The club will take a tour of the school grounds to become more familiar with the different gardens, trees, and wild plants on campus.  Next, we will begin the work of weeding and mulching the gym and south gardens.

 

 

The 4H Club will meet the first and third Thursday of every month from 2:15 to 3:15. These dates will include October 3^rd and 17^th, November 7^th and 21^st, December 5^th, January 16^th, February 6^th and 20^th, March 4^th, April 2^nd and 16^th, and May 7^th.  The club has already received donations and a grant, so I’m looking forward to a successful year.
