9th Grade ELA
This is for incoming 9th graders to Bartlett Academy.
See below for the summer reading assignments and activities for ELA 9 Standard and Honors classes.
Standard students will read “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell. The study guide is required and is intended to help you with the assessment. Standard students will have a test the first week of school.
Honor students will read The Pearl by John Steinbeck and Animal Farm by George Orwell. You can find the books online or in stores in various formats.
Students will complete a one-pager assignment over one of the novels - your choice!
Students will have tests over both novels during the first two weeks of school.
