The Lady Panther Bowling Team absolutely dominated Whitehaven yesterday in a 25 to 2 win to become Region 8 Champions! They were led by Freshmen: Chase Rock with a 165, Ashlyn Corley with a 189, and Rebekah LaBuda with a 224. Come out on Saturday at 11am to Andy B’s Lanes to see the Girls play Dyer County in the sub-state play offs. A win here qualifies them for the State Tournament next week. Way to go Ladies!
Not to be out done by the girls, the guys stepped up their game yesterday too. An absolute nail biter. We lost the first match. Came back the second match and were tied 8 to 8 overall after 2 games with a 5-pin lead when our guys came out on fire. The third and final match. Freshman Dominic Williams was the lead off bowler setting the mark with a 215. It came down to the last bowler. With a must win point freshman Heath Herbison edged out his opponent with a 177.
The Boys beat Collierville 17 to 10 to become Region 8 Champions! Come out on Monday at 11:30am to Cordova Lanes to see the Guys play Brighton in the sub-state play offs. A win here qualifies them for the State Tournament next week.
